About Us

At Eat Well Health, we are dedicated to empowering people to improve their lives through good nutrition.
We believe quality nutrition advice should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve developed an innovative online delivery model, offering nutrition screening, Telehealth dietitian support, and a wide range of supplements.
Our systems remove cost as a barrier for those on Support at Home Plans or NDIS participants. We work seamlessly with providers to ensure eligible clients can easily access funding and support.
Our Story: A Systems Solution to a Personal Problem
Eat Well Health was founded by Andrew Martin to solve a persistent breakdown in the Australian aged care system: the gap between identifying a clinical need and actually delivering support into the home.
The inspiration for the business was deeply personal. While navigating the aged care system for my own mother, I saw firsthand that even when a nutritional need is clear, administrative friction often prevents the solution from reaching the client.
As a professional with a background in accounting and corporate finance, I viewed this not just as a clinical failure, but as a systems failure. I saw that for many seniors and their families, nutrition support currently sits in a "too hard" basket. The multi-step gauntlet of booking GP or dietitian appointments, obtaining written clinical referrals, and navigating complex claiming leads to delays in care and avoidable clinical decline.
Solving the Friction
Since joining Optimal Essentials five years ago, I have focused on bringing commercial rigour and tech-enabled efficiency to senior nutrition. We developed Eat Well Health as a purpose-built clinical safety net for the Support at Home era. We have replaced manual, paper-based hurdles with an evidence-based digital "Express Lane" that provides free, rapid screening and automated dietitian oversight.
Our Mission
We aren't just a product supplier; we are a service-layer solution designed to ensure no senior's nutritional needs fall through the cracks. We believe that:
Mealtimes are vital, but sometimes they aren't enough. We fill the nutritional gaps for seniors who struggle to finish full meals due to reduced appetite, illness, or frailty.
Compliance should be a baseline, not a burden. We automate the invoicing and provide the dietitian-signed clinical justification required for 0% out-of-pocket funding under Clinical Support guidelines.
Accessibility is a right. Our 3-minute screening tool, adapted from validated clinical domains, is free for everyone and available nationwide—including regional and rural areas.
We want to have a meaningful impact on seniors’ nutrition. By applying commercial efficiency to clinical care, we are building a future where every older Australian has access to validated screening and seamless support. What impact would that have on our health system if we finally moved the needle on malnutrition?
